RELACIONES CHINA – AMÉRICA LATINA Y CARIBE. ESTADO ACTUAL Y PERSPECTIVAS

Resumen

Las relaciones entre China y América Latina y el Caribe han experimentado un
vertiginoso  crecimiento  en los últimos 15 años. Los vínculos económicos son
los más importantes,  pero  también se han desarrollado las relaciones en otras
esferas  como  la  política,  la  cultura,  la  educación,  la  seguridad,  entre  otras.
Hasta  el  momento,  las  relaciones  económicas  han  reportado  beneficios  a
ambas regiones, sin embargo, han ocasionado efectos negativos para la región
latinoamericana.  El  artículo  muestra  la  situación  actual  de  estas  relaciones  y
ofrece sugerencias sobre posibles acciones dirigidas a mejorarlas en el futuro.

Abstract
China  and  Latin  America  and  the  Caribbean  relations  have  registered  an
extraordinarily  expansion  mostly  after  2000.  Economic  links  are  the  most
important, although relations in other areas  are also developed, such as politics,
culture, education and security. So far, the relations have brought benefits for
both  parts,  but  also  have  caused  negative  consequences  for  Latin  America.
This paper describes the current situation and suggests possible actions aimed
at improving them in the future.
