LA ESTRATEGIA DE LA RESERVA FEDERAL ANTE LA ACTUAL CRISIS ECONÓMICA DE ESTADOS UNIDOS

Resumen

El  artículo  hace  un  análisis  crítico  de  la  política  monetaria  aplicada  por  la  Reserva Federal  de  Estados  Unidos  para  el  manejo  de  la  actual  crisis,  haciendo  una retrospectiva  que  muestra  su  evolución  desde  que  fue  creada  esta  institución.
Profundiza en los instrumentos utilizados en la actualidad y hace una evaluación de la efectividad, así como de los riesgos de las medidas aplicadas.

Abstract
The article makes a critical analysis of the monetary policy implemented by the United States’ Federal Reserve in order to manage the current crisis, through a retrospective view which shows its evolution since the creation of this institution. The paper deepens the analysis of the instruments currently used and assesses the effectiveness and risks of the measures enforced.
